How to Measure
Measure your chest around the fullest part, with the tape under your arms and across your shoulder blades, keeping the tape horizontal. For shirts, also measure neck circumference at the base of the neck and sleeve length from the center back of the neck to the wrist for the most accurate fit.
Notes
Letter sizes (S/M/L) are the least precise — the chest range covered by 'Medium' varies noticeably between brands, sometimes by 2 inches or more. Numbered sizes (chest measurement in inches, common for dress shirts and suits) are more directly comparable across brands.
